Our Story

Little Luxury was born from the deep belief that every baby is a luxury in themselves, a precious gift.

We know that for many families, the journey to parenthood is not always easy, and that understanding sits quietly at the heart of everything we do.

Our mission is simple: to create modern nursery essentials that bring together understated elegance and purposeful design, making everyday family life more beautiful, considered and effortless.

While my own babies arrived relatively easily, a luxury I never take for granted, it was in the early days of motherhood that I truly felt the weight of anxiety.

Everyday things like tummy time, going for a walk or simply getting in the car suddenly felt overwhelming. Like so many new mothers, I found myself navigating the exhaustion, the constant mental load and the feeling that there was always something else I needed to think about.

At the same time, I was tired of buying something new for every stage. A playmat, a nest, a playpen, a ball pit. I wanted less clutter and more intention. I wanted one beautiful, purposeful piece that could do more and last longer. Something I could trust, that worked for our family and still felt at home in the spaces we had so carefully created.

That idea became our first product, The Plush™, and ultimately, Little Luxury.

What began with one playmat has grown into something much bigger. But the thinking behind it hasn't changed.

Every Little Luxury piece starts with a genuine need in family life. We think carefully about how it will be used, how long it will be useful, the materials we choose and how it will live within your home.

Thoughtfully designed in New Zealand, our pieces are made to support family life from the earliest newborn days through childhood and beyond. They are designed to be used often, loved deeply and, wherever possible, to do the work of more than one thing.

Because motherhood doesn't need more things. It needs better, more considered ones.
